Andreas Frölich studied at the conservatories in Freiburg and Cologne. He is a prizewinner of various international piano competitions (eg Senigallia, Finale Ligure, Milan or at the International Music Competition in Vienna). He performs as a soloist with numerous internationally renowned orchestras, as well as pianist of the Mendelssohn Trio Berlin and with the Ensemble Wien (concertmaster and members of the Vienna Philharmonic), in the largest concert halls in Europe, South America, Asia and South Africa and Africa Australia (including Concertgebouw Amsterdam, Musikverein Wien, Kölner Phiharmonie, Ga München Gasteig, Teatro Colon Buenos Aires, Konzerthaus Berlin, Teatro Municipal Rio de Janeiro) as well as major international music festivals, including Rheingau Music Festival, Schleswig-Holstein Music Festival, Salzburg Easter Festival, Mozart Festival Würzburg, Emilia Romagna Festival and numerous other music festivals worldwide.
His artistic work includes numerous radio productions on all major German channels and more than 30, z. T. award-winning CD productions at CPO, EMI, OehmsClassics, BMG and VMS.Andreas Frölich is Artistic Director of the Amadeo Festival in Aachen, the Orpheo concert series in Kerkrade, as well as jury chairman and artistic director of the international piano competition "Prix Amadeo de piano" in Aachen , He also has the musical direction of the EURIADE Festival. He teaches as a professor at the University of Music and Dance Cologne / Aachen and regularly gives masterclasses. a. as a visiting professor at the International Summer Academy of the Mozarteum in Salzburg. He is also in demand as a juror at numerous international piano competitions.
