Christian Sikorski received his musical education in Frankfurt, Freiburg and Paris. His teachers include Wolfgang Marschner, Jean Fournier and Norbert Brainin (Ama-deus Quartet).

In 1983 he founded the Bartholdy Ensemble, Rheinfelden, with whom he gave concerts in Germany, Austria, France, Italy and Switzerland and recorded numerous CD and radio recordings. In addition, he founded in 1993 after him named Sikorski Quartet, Stuttgart, with whom he has since performed more than one hundred and fifty different string quartets and string quintets.

In 1985, Sikorski received a teaching assignment for violin and chamber music at the Musikhochschule Freiburg and in 1991 he accepted a call as professor of violin at the Musikhochschule Stuttgart. Many of his students today hold positions in prestigious orchestras such as in Hamburg, Berlin, Essen, Dortmund, Stuttgart or Munich. In 2006 he published the book "The World of the Four Strings", a consideration of violin playing and violin study for gifted young violinists.

Numerous courses for the Landesmusikrat in Hessen and Schleswig Holstein, for the Landesmusikrat Baden-Württemberg, at the "Musiktagen Bergell", in Isny ​​/ Allgäu, at Wiesenthau Castle or in Merzig in the Saarland round off his pedagogical activity. Christian Sikorski is also a jury member of the DAAD in Bonn, the Stiftung Musikleben in Hamburg and occasionally for the Landesmusikrat Baden-Württemberg and the German Music Competition in Bonn.

A focus of his teaching is the work with students of the preliminary class. Young, talented violinists who are still in school can apply here. In recent years, numerous winners (including international competitions) have emerged from this class.

Prof. Sikorski is a lecturer of our university for the PE-Förderkreis a non-profit association for the promotion of musically talented people.
