Born into a family of musical tradition, Florin SZIGETI brilliantly finished his studies, winner with the First Prizes for violin and chamber music from the National Superior Music Conservatory, and won the Grand Prize of the National Violin Competition in Bucharest.

Florin SZIGETI is a founding member of the ENESCO Quartet with which he settled in France in 1979. With the quartet, he won the First Grand Prix of the International Chamber Music Competition in Paris, and the Grand Prix du Disque of the French Academy of the Disc, followed by several "Diapasons d'Or" and "Chocs de la Musique". With the Enesco Quartet he is invited to perform all over the world, on the most prestigious stages.

Violin teacher at the Maurice Ravel Conservatory of Paris, Florin SZIGETI also teaches since 2012 at the National Superior Music Conservatory of Paris, and since 1995 at the University of Paris-Sorbonne where he is solo violin of the Sorbonne-Paris IV Symphony Orchestra , thus combining an artistic and educational career. Solo recitals and concerts, four decades as the solo violin of many chamber and philharmonic orchestras, and more than two thousand quartet concerts in the biggest festivals, mark the musical journey of Florin SZIGETI.

His experience and his pedagogical know-how mean that he is regularly invited for juries and "master classes" of violin and chamber music in the high places of music in France, Spain, Belgium, Germany and Finland, in company of the biggest names in music.
